Mourinho said: “It is very easy [to understand] the love they have for the club, the way they behave and work and the love the club and public has for them. The board wants to show them love and respect and how much we need them.
“When you are talking about arriving at a conclusion [in negotiations], when you are talking about players with small salaries, you can solve it in two days. But when the players are on a different level of salaries, then you cannot solve a contract in two days. But I don’t think they can find a better club than us.”
