Ancelotti will see Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou, Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel leave for the African Cup of Nations which begins in the New Year.
The Italian said: “We knew this at the start of the season. We have other players. We can have Anelka in January and there is good strength in our team.”
