He said: “This club has given me everything I have ever needed over the past few years, so I saw no reason to leave and play for anyone else.
“The club has been successful and I would like to think I have played a part in that. It has been a great time. We have finished in the top eight ever since I have been here.
“Not only that, Bolton have played in Europe for the first time and reached a cup final.
“I am looking forward to the next three-and-a-half years when, hopefully, we will make more strides.”
