Everton boss delighted with win over Chelsea

A brace from Louis Saha secured a 2-1 win for Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

“The way the players went about it – we went a goal down, had to come back from there and, obviously the disappointment of the weekend was still with us I felt at the start of the game,” Moyes told Sky Sports.

“But we didn’t half pick up and we didn’t half raise the roof here and raise the tempo and in the end it was a deserved victory I felt.”

Saha scored two goals, but missed from the penalty spot.

Moyes added: “He got two, maybe could have got four but it was two terrific goals. His second one, his chest control and his finish and his header.

“Then he misses penalty and I he had another really good chance in the first half and I thought actually in the second half, before he scored, he had another opportunity.

“But all centre forwards need confidence and they get that from scoring the goals so I’m looking forward to Louis now getting a bundle in the next few games coming.”
