Fellaini requires an operation on his ankle, following a challenge from Liverpool defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos in the Merseyside derby.
“He’s not good,” Everton boss David Moyes told the club’s official website.
“He’s going to have an operation. He’s got a similar injury to Robin van Persie and it’s probably going to keep him out for six months.”
