Hodgson is reportedly keen to bring in Konchesky as Emiliano Insua is expected to leave for Fiorentina this week.
“A deal has been struck with Fiorentina,” admitted Hodgson. “We wish him well for the rest of his career and thank him for his time spent at Liverpool.
“I am expecting him to join Fiorentina next week.”
Konchesky could join Liverpool for around £2million as he has just a year left on his contract at Fulham.
