Guedioura targets Wolves stay

The 24-year-old is on loan at Wolves until the end of the season, but the club has agreed a three-year deal with Guedioura and his club Charleroi.

The French midfielder impressed in the 1-0 win over Tottenham in midweek.

“I have to be happy with my performance, but it’s only one match and I’ve got to be consistent if I’m going to be a success here,” he told the Express and Star.

“I don’t want to sound pretentious, but I do what I can and if I can help, then great. I can’t say I can be the difference in us staying up, because the difference will be us all pulling together as a team.

“But the more I play, hopefully the better I will get. I want to show the manager and the fans that I’m good enough to stay here.

“It’s not my decision, because I have to show what I can do on the pitch to earn the contract.”

He added: “I haven’t found the Premier League too difficult, but the level is much higher than the Belgian league and the tempo is very quick.

“You have to work very hard to do well, but I enjoy it because of the way everyone battles for everything.”
