Hiddink has just recently started his job as coach of Turkey and is not expected to take over at Inter.
“The interest from Inter is not invented,” Hiddink’s agent Cees Van Nieuwenhuizen told tuttomercatoweb.it. “Inter Milan contacted me a week ago, saying that Guus was No.1 on their list.
“But I explained that Hiddink has recently signed a contract with the Turkish Federation and so his engagement [by Inter] would be, if not impossible, extremely difficult.
“I am honoured that the European champions consider my client their preferred candidate, but I think a move to Inter is an unrealistic idea.
“Even if Guus was willing to accept, Inter would have to convince the Turkish Federation.
“But I have the feeling that they have already made their choice by focusing on other coaches.”
