City boss Hughes reckons the Gunners can afford only one more defeat in the Premier League.
He said: “It’s common knowledge if you lose six games then you can’t win the Premier League.
“They’ve lost four now so it will be difficult for them. On occasions they’ve lost games that people expected them to win and during a long season those things come back to haunt you.
“We have pressure from a different direction in a different way. They’re a top-four club and they’re expected to win things.”
Sparky added: “It’s a different type of game because I’ve got different personnel at City and we have to play in a different way.
“We haven’t got a team that can play a hard, pressing, physical game. I’d like that option as well but we don’t have that.
“We’ll be looking to play our game and impose ourselves on them but we’re very mindful of the threat of Arsenal.”
