Hull City have submitted a €22m offer for Union Berlin striker Ilyas Ansah as they accelerate plans for their Premier League return.
The package includes bonuses and could become one of the biggest deals completed in the club’s history.
Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg revealed via X that negotiations between Hull and Union Berlin are now at an advanced stage. The Tigers are also progressing discussions with Ansah over a long-term contract.
Personal terms are not expected to create any problems. The 21-year-old is keen on moving to England and has made the Premier League his preferred destination.
Hull’s approach signals their determination to strengthen the attack after promotion. Ansah would offer youth and long-term potential, while his desire to join could help drive negotiations towards an agreement.
The remaining challenge is finalising the structure with Union Berlin. If that hurdle is cleared, Hull could complete a major statement signing before the transfer deadline.
