Juventus boss Ranieri: I have nothing in common with Mourinho

Mourinho replaced Ranieri as manager at Chelsea and the two will face off this weekend in the Serie A.

“Do I like anything about Mourinho? Yes, the fact that all his players speak highly of him means that he has forged a great rapport with them,” Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But I don’t like the way he stirs up controversy from time to time. The friction between us has nothing to do with the fact he replaced me at Chelsea.

“I knew I was on borrowed time, but I still believe I had a superb season because I took the Blues to fourth place without spending any money.

“Am I jealous of Mourinho for his salary? Not at all,” Ranieri continued.

“Everybody gets what they deserve in this world. I’m not even fussed about money – that’s not the important thing to me.

“The simple fact is that I have nothing in common with Jose. He may have won a lot and I haven’t, but I have been in football for a long time and I keep doing better so I still think I have done a good job.”
