Kaka has admitted that he is a huge admirer of the Liverpool ace.
Paolo Maldini is expected to retire at the end of the season and big changes are expected at the club.
“A cycle is reaching its end and another one is starting. It could be a historic moment,” Kaka told Italian channel Sky Sport 24.
“The time has come to change the group. Many players’ contracts are about to expire and new ones should arrive.
“You can have a mix of experienced players and younger ones with a real desire to win. I do like modern football – players who can attack and defend.
“If it was up to me, someone like Gerrard, a player who can play anywhere, in midfield or on the right side, would be good for Milan.”
