The former Real Sociedad hero said: “I still have a big interest in the Spanish League but, at the moment, I’d say the Premiership is the best.
“That’s why I chose to play here. It has more passion, pace, physical contact and the atmosphere at the stadiums is fantastic.
“La Liga is more a technical style of football, there is more control and variation, and you have more time on the ball and longer to think about your options.”
