Brown went for scans on Sunday as there are fears that he has broken the fifth metatarsal.
The England defender will find out the results of the scans on Monday, but could be out of action for as long as three months, according to the Daily Mail.
Brown suffered the injury in a challenge with Wolves ace Matt Jarvis on Saturday.
