Cleverley was forced off 55 minutes into United’s win at Everton on Saturday, but Ferguson insists there are no indications that the youngster faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 22-year-old had just returned from an ankle injury.
“He’s felt his ankle again,” the United boss told MUTV.
“It’s nothing serious, just tightness and tiredness. It’s his first real game back, although he played on Tuesday (at Aldershot) of course.
“He should be okay next week and it was an excellent performance from him in the first half.”
