Newcastle United are reportedly open to parting ways with midfielder Sean Longstaff if a suitable offer emerges.

The Sun reports that amid efforts to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, the club sees the potential sale of Longstaff, a homegrown talent, as a financially strategic move.

The sale would count as pure profit, aligning with FFP requirements. Premier League clubs are reportedly keen on the 26-year-old, with a loan-to-buy deal being a viable option for Newcastle.

Longstaff has been a regular for Eddie Howe this season, featuring in 17 Premier League matches and five Champions League games.

However, offloading him could provide Newcastle the necessary flexibility to revamp their midfield, especially considering Sandro Tonali’s suspension for illegal betting.
