Pompey boss Tony Adams is lining up a move for the 25-year-old and is ready to spend some of the £20million-plus they will receive from Real Madrid for Lassana Diarra.
It is believed that Porsmouth will pay back the £5million they got for the midfielder when they sold him to Boro in 2007.
