Redknapp wants Modric talks

The Spurs boss wants the Croatian to be offered a new deal after the club forced him to stay and turn away overtures from Chelsea.

Modric was superb in the 4-0 win over Liverpool, scoring a brilliant curling finish from the edge of the box.

“That’s why we were offered £40M for him.

“I think the chairman will discuss his contract, that’s what I’d like”, added the Spurs boss.

“Luka is fine now, he’s just getting on with it.

“The chairman said he would give it six or seven weeks, sit down and have a chat with him.”
