Ferdinand will make his return for the Manchester United’s reserve team, who will face Oldham Athletic’s reserves in the Manchester Senior Cup.
Ferdinand was not expected to return to action until the end of this month.
Wes Brown, Anderson and Federico Macheda are also included in United’s reserve team squad for the game against Oldham.
