The Switzerland international joined West Ham from Lazio last summer and have impressed in the Premiership.
“Roma have enquired after Valon,” Behrami’s agent Alessandro Beltrami told the Daily Star.
“They have given me their word that they are keen on the lad and willing to close the deal.
“However, we are just in the early stages.”
