The Portuguese winger joined Chelsea on loan until the end of the season on Monday.
“I wouldn’t necessarily say Mourinho’s idea of bringing Quaresma to Italy was a failure, but it certainly didn’t live up to expectations,” Sacchi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“It is strange that he picked him in the first place. Perhaps he wanted to play with two very attacking wingers, but there are few top European players in that role.
“To tell the truth, I have serious doubts the Portuguese lad will do well at Chelsea, either.”
