It is believed United will offload either Saha or Smith if they manage to sign a new striker.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I have a contract renegotiation coming up and, now that I’m fit, I’m ready to fight for my future.
“I definitely want to stay at Old Trafford. My agent has spoken to the club and hopefully that should be done in the next few weeks.”
