The 28-year-old has two years left on his current deal at Eastlands.
“I would like to stay for the long term but obviously nothing’s been sorted out yet,” Wright-Phillips told The Sun.
“That hasn’t stopped me from working hard and being happy, though.
“If they want me, I’m here to stay. If not, I’m concentrating on what I have to do for the club now.”
