Utrecht teenager signs deal

The 17-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Dutch side.

“I am extremely proud,” Badjeck told Sports Promotion. “The atmosphere is really great and you learn every week in training and in matches.

“When you get offered a contract it inspires confidence for the future.

“So I’m happy to give them my signature. I would like to continue developing at FC Utrecht.”

Utrecht technical director Foeke Booy said: “The club sees a big future for Cedric. He is developing well and if he keeps doing that he might break into the first-team in the future.

“Cedric is eager to learn and willing to listen to others. You need those things to make it in football.

“The road is still long but for now he is on the right track – hence this contract. We are pleased that we are continuing with him.”
