Vidic pledges future to Man Utd

The 28-year-old will see out the remainder of his United contract that expires in 2012.

“I have never said I’d like to move to Madrid,” he told the Daily Star Sunday.

“I will definitely stay here until 2012 at least – and then we have time to speak about whatever may happen in the future.

“I am enjoying it here and I think I’ve showed that on the pitch. For now, all I’m focused on is playing the game and doing my best.”

The former Spartak Moscow star has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.

“Media speculation can affect your concentration and I don’t want that now,” he continued.

“Maybe earlier in the season, because I had a few injuries, people started talking and saying, ‘He’s not happy’. But none of it came from me.

“I’d like to win four league titles in a row because nobody’s done it before in the English game and I want to make history.”
