Reid injured ankle ligament in last week’s 1-0 win against Chelsea.
The 30-year-old had a check at a specialist in Holland on Thursday and the Baggies has now confirmed that Reid had injured the ligaments in his right ankle.
The injury is expected to keep the former Republic of Ireland international out of action for three months.
