The Sun reports that West Ham boss Avram Grant is keen to bring in the 23-year-old and the £5million bid is expected to be accepted by Barrera’s club, Pumas.
A West Ham insider told The Sun: “Avram fancied him at the World Cup.
“He played an hour against France and it’s convinced him he can handle the Prem.”
