Wilkins arrived as the assistant to Luiz Scolari in 2008 and today leaves the club for the third time, having originally joined as a teenager.
Ancelotti has praised Wilkins, saying that the club would not have achieved its success without him. The Italian said in Wilkins’ autobiography that Wilkins is “one of those select few, always present, noble in spirit, a real blue-blood, Chelsea flows in his veins… without him we wouldn’t have won a thing,”
