Wolves boss delighted with win over Spurs

Wolves climbed out of the bottom three following their win over Spurs at Molineux.

“The players knew that there was no better way to get over it than play Spurs on Wednesday night and that’s been proven,” McCarthy told Sky Sports.

“Today I think it’s been a hard-fought victory and deservedly in the end.”

Dave Jones scored the winner for Wolves.

“The goal was terrific – I think it’s as good as you will see in the league,” said the Wolves boss.

Wolves face Chelsea and Manchester United in their next games in the Premier League.

“I’m not worried about the next two games,” added the Wolves boss.

“We haven’t got a game for 10 days we hurt on Sunday after the Birmingham defeat let’s enjoy this and we’ll start worrying about Manchester United, Chelsea et al after.”
