Fergie rages after van Persie incident

Sir Alex Ferguson was incandescent with rage after Robin van Persie was struck in the head by a ball kicked by Ashley Williams on Sunday.

Williams kicked the ball right at van Persie as he lay on the ground, though the Swansea player claims there was no intent to hurt the Man Utd forward.

“In the Van Persie situation you can clearly see that he could have been killed,” he told Sky Sports News. “The FA has got to look into it regardless that he has been given a yellow card. He should be banned for a long time because that was the most dangerous thing I’ve seen on a football field for many years.”
