The Brazilian has admitted he would be interested in a move to England.
“I think every top player in the world would like to play in the Premier League at some point, and we are an option now,” Hughes told the Manchester Evening News.
“Three months ago, the top players would not have considered coming to Manchester City.
“It’s always interesting when top players talk about situations at people’s clubs.
“But until something happens I haven’t got a lot to say on the subject. We will have to wait and see.
“These are exciting times here, and January is going to be a part of that.”
