Solano joined the Foxes on a short-term deal in January and has made 13 appearances for the club.
The new deal will keep the 35-year-old at the club for the first half of next seasons.
Leicester have also handed a new deal to midfielder Aman Verma, who spent time on loan at Crewe and Histon this season.
