Barcelona’s schemer has been one of Europe’s top players in recent years, drawing comparisons with Zidane for his calm on the ball and intelligent playmaking, and will win his 100th cap for Spain against the Czech Republic this weekend.
He said: “Those are strong words to compare me with Zidane but in any case for me it’s an honour to hear that from a team mate.”
