Toffees boss David Moyes had a £4million bid for Hunt rejected on transfer deadline day int eh summer.
Hunt said: “The summer transfer window definitely got to me and it affects everyone. At the moment, I’m a Championship player in a Championship team.
“I feel as if I’m coming into my prime and looking forward to the next three or four years, hopefully spent as a Premier League footballer.
“I want to play my way back into the Premier League. You have to look after yourself although the most important thing is the team.”
Sunderland and Middlesbrough are also interested in the 27-year-old midfielder.
