The former Juventus ace joined the Rossoneri from Real Madrid in 2007 but has made just 11 appearances in the Serie A for the club.
“I was feeling good but I didn’t play and I never got any explanation [as to why],” Emerson is quoted as saying in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I had to leave. I had fitness issues last year but not this season. However, I don’t think that [coach Carlo] Ancelotti was prejudiced towards me.”
