The 23-year-old joined United from Everton in a £20million deal in 2004 and still has three-years left on his current deal.
But Rooney is keen on staying with United for the rest of his career.
“I am happy here and I’d sign a new contract at any time,” he told the Sunday Telegraph.
“I want to stay at this club for the rest of my career. I will sign an extension any time the club wants me to.”
