Crespo has been linked with a summer move from Inter to Fiorentina and has agreed a deal worth just £500,000 per season, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I know him well, he is a great striker and a good man,” said Gilardino.
“Although we cannot really focus on the transfer market right now, champions like Crespo are always very welcome.”
