The 29-year-old joined the Viola as part of the deal that saw Felipe Melo join Juventus.
“I am extremely pleased to be here,” he declared in a interview with Radioincontro.
“My first objective as a Viola player is to qualify for the Champions League. When you are in good shape physically and mentally it is much simpler to do what is right.
“I am extremely happy with how this initial phase of preparation is going, and I hope we can keep everything ticking over throughout the Champions League preliminaries because they are so important and we must arrive ready to win.”
