Arbeloa has already revealed that he is in talks with Real over a move.
A Liverpool spokesman said: “We have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the transfer of the player, subject to him completing a medical.”
Arbeloa is expected to sign a five-year contract and will cost Real around £3.5million.
