Aston Villa boss confident goals will come

Villa only managed a goalless draw with Arsenal and have failed to score in over five-and-a-half hours of Premier League football.

“I thought it was a real fine game considering it ended up goalless,” O’Neill told Sky Sports.

“I thought we played splendidly in the match, I thought we took the game to Arsenal early on.

“They showed a great determination as they have done for quite some considerable time and over the last four matches that we have played we haven’t had the points on the board that we’ve deserved so I hope that turns in the next few weeks.

“They are obviously also a very fine side but overall I couldn’t be more pleased with the team.”

“I think we do create chances,” He added. “Their (Arsenal’s) goalkeeper made a great save from Gabby Agbonlahor very early on – we are not despondent about it.

“I just think our play suggests that we will come out of it.”
