Niang has not featured for Viking in their friendlies ahead of the new season.
Viking sports director Egil Ostenstad told TV2: “Mame will have a trial at Orebro. He will go there on Sunday and be there in the coming week.”
Niang have failed to become a hit at Viking since joining the club from Wolfsburg in August 2008.
