The Daily Star says Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring in the £30million-rated defender.
Ancelotti is looking to bring in a new right-back as Branislav Ivanovic, who is normally a central-defender, has been used in that position.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Barcelona is set to expire in 2012.
