Redknapp has admitted he is keen to bring in a superstar after qualifying for the Champions League.
News of the World claims the club have made contact with Raul’s agent Gines Carvajal.
“Raul has always been interested in the Premier League,” said a source close to the player to News of the World.
“He has spoken with friends like Fernando Morientes and Michel Salgado, who know England, and they have encouraged him to make the move.”
