Mourinho’s contract with Inter Milan expires in June 2012, but the Portuguese coach has been linked with Real Madrid.
“Mourinho has done a great job in his two seasons in charge,” said Zanetti. “I hope he remains because he is a great coach.”
He added: “I believe he will stay although it is a personal decision.
“For the time being, the coach is focused on the two finals.
“Then he will meet the president (Massimo Moratti) and will make a decision.”
