Reports have linked the England international with a move to St James’ Park as the winger has fallen down the pecking order at Eastlands.
Hughton said in the Manchester Evening News: “As far as Shaun Wright-Phillips is concerned, he is not one who will be coming here.
“Shaun is in contract negotiations at the moment and it is normal for him to be linked with other clubs.”
