Montolivo was linked with a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
But Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is confident the midfielder will sign a new deal with the club.
“The renewal of Montolivo?” he said.
“Before the World Cup we almost had an agreement, we were about 100,000 euros out. I think we can agree and I believe he will sign up for another five years.”
