The youngster stunned England with a glorious strike in Switzerland’s Euro 2012 qualifier with the Three Lions earlier this week.
News of the World reports that Shaqiri was heading to Liverpool in the summer, but the move fell through when Rafa Benitez was axed.
Shaqiri is reportedly available for a cut-price £2million in the January transfer window.
