Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps are looking to bring in a marquee player ahead of their debut in the league in 2011.
Former Tottenham chief executive Paul Barber is now in charge at Vancouver and could be interested in making a move for Keane, according to The Sun.
Portland Timbers and New England Revolution are also looking to bring in a marquee player.
