Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Lazio supremo Claudio Lotito has asked his scouts to make checks on Contento.
The 20-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Lazio last month and the club made an initial approach with Bayern.
Lazio believes €4million will be enough to sign the highly-rated defender.
