Mbokani will stay on loan at Wolfsburg until the end of the season. The Bundesliga side have an option to make the move permanent.
“He is a quick and athletic forward who we have had in mind since his time with Standard Liege. We have hired him and secured a purchase option to keep all possibilities in our hands,” Wolfsburg sporting director Dieter Hoeness said.
“I was well received by the players, the atmosphere within the team is great. I am very happy with the move to Wolfsburg and I am glad to be here,” Mbokani said.
